Arrowleaf Balsamroot (Balsamorhiza sagittata) a member of the sunflower tribe. Many Native American groups, including the Nez Perce, Kootenai, Cheyenne, and Salish, utilized the Balsamroot as a food and medicine. Growing lavishly here at the East Entrance to Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming.
