

Found throughout the Americas, the Great Horned owl (Bubo virginianus) has, over time, developed into 14 different specific subspecies by location. Yellowstone's population are a part of the "Rocky Mountains" subspecies. They are distinguishable from the others by their mottled feet. Mammouth, Yellowstone.
