Tweedy's rush (Juncus tweedyi), or warm spring rush, sometimes the only vascular plant growing in acidic hydrothermal areas. This rush or grass is known to grow only in a few places in Yellowstone and just a few other places in the whole world.<br />
It grows here in Obsidian creek, between Roaring Mountain and the Grizzly Lake trail head where the stream water is indeed warm and acidic.
